About Me

A Dedicated Piano Teacher

Diana Williams

In 1992, I discovered my passion when I began my career as a professional piano teacher and I haven't once looked back.  I have a gentle approach that brings great results and I try my very best to help each student feel good about themselves.

I am a certified elementary education teacher with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Idaho State University.  I am very organized in both my personal and professional life.  I am a teacher who strives to keep lessons fun and engaging by using unique programs.

Courses

Courses

Exploring the Basics

My teaching style focuses on skills and technical training, but also emphasizes sightreading from the very beginning in order to create independent learners.  I have implemented quality programs that create successful pianists.  Take a look at the selection of lessons and courses I provide and choose the right one for you.

Young Musicians Program

A one hour lesson taught weekly to students ages 4-7.

$60 per Month

For many young children, this class may be their first introduction to formal music lessons.  I use My First Piano Adventures by Faber and the Piano Safari Method along with games to reinforce concepts and introduce young students to the joy of music.  This class is designed to make learning music fun for the young beginner.  Note reading is introduced, and I also teach by rote using songs that are guaranteed to be a hit with young learners.

Accelerated Piano Lab

A one hour class taught weekly to students ages 8-18.  Unlimited makeups are a bonus for this class.

$60 per Month

This class is designed for students ages 8-18, and is a class that has been shown to dramatically improve a student's sightreading skills.  This is the #1 skill that students need in order to learn music quickly.  The class allows students to move at their own pace with individualized instruction from the teacher.  The student learns the music at the lesson which means that home practice is made easier.  The accelerated curriculum uses the Piano Adventures series and older students who finish the series can immerse themselves in whatever type of music they enjoy and want to play.  The class is designed to help students learn quickly and to feel successful.

Adult Piano Class

A one hour class taught weekly.  The fee covers the cost of eight classes.

$120

Whether you are a beginner or already have a music background, the adult piano class offers something for everyone.  Beginning students use the Faber Piano Method along with also learning how to play using chords.  More advanced students can work with me as the teacher to design a program tailored to their individual needs and interests.
